Intalling the Ascari ITG Remote Support Software

This article assumes your computer has the following:

  • Access to the internet
  • Appropriate permissions to install software

Download the Installer

You can download the appropriate installation file by going to ascari.com.au in your web browser and clicking the support link (at the very top of the page).

Once you've reached the Customer Support Portal, click on Remote Supports (Downloads).

Next you'll need to select the approriate installation file for your computer see below for reference:

  • Microsoft Windows-based computers:
    • Remote Support - Windows Installer.exe or
    • Remote Support - Windows Installer.msi
  • Apple Mac OSX based computers:
    • Remote Support - Mac OS X Installer.pkg
  • Linux-based computers:
    • Installation files are available for Debian-based distributions along with Red Hat / Centos (RPM) based distributions.

Installing the Support Client

All you need to do is open the file you downloaded and click OK to any User Account Control prompts which may appear.

To confirm installation has been successful you should see a new icon appearing in your system tray (bottom right hand corner on Windows-based devices or upper right hand corner on Apple Mac OSX based computers).
